Husband and wife team Chris and Kathy lead a dedicated team which offers a truly hospitable place to bring family and friends together in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Chris has world class training and experience in kitchens around the world. Kathy’s background of customer service ensures your dining experience will be second to none.
Our seasonally changing menu allows us to enjoy and showcase the wonderful local produce and wines the South West and Western Australia has to offer. We are proud to be able to offer and share the focus on local family owned and operated small businesses with our customers.

Ever since he was 12 years old, I knew I wanted to be a chef. I have a great passion for food and still enjoy my time in the kitchen now, as much as I did back then. I have lived, trained and worked around the world and love to constantly update my knowledge of food. Not only is variety the spice of life, but it also keeps my passion for food alive. The food I have experienced around the world I love to showcase in my frequently changing menus along with traditional favourites.

Kathy is the sparkle that makes your day when you arrive at The Side Door Bunbury. Kathy takes care of the little extra touches from your drink being at just the right temperature to a grind or two of black pepper, from her impressive pepper grinder, to put the finishing touch to your meal.
With an extensive background in customer service, Kathy takes great delight in running the front of house.
One of Kathy’s most favourite passions is being able to enjoy and taste test the new creation that Chris is trialing as he decides on the new dishes for the seasonal menu changes.
